The game graphics look black/broken on my Amazon Underground version!

The Amazon Underground ad overlay that appears when you start or resume the game can interfere with graphics memory and cause the glitchy images you are seeing. We are actively working with Amazon Developer Support to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We desperately want to solve this, and either it will be fixed on Amazon’s side of things or we will get an update to the game out to you ASAP.
If you encounter this, exit the game (use the square icon button that lets you see all of your running apps and “swipe” the app off the screen) and then restart the game. This usually fixes the problem until the next appearance of the Amazon Underground overlay.


Why doesn’t the fan / decoder ring / detect-o-matic work?

There could be a few reasons why one of the tools isn’t working for you.

First, are you out of them? You can check how many you have by looking at the number on the bottom corner of the tool on the game board, or while in the Explorer’s Emporium Store. If you need more, you can get more in the Explorer’s Emporium Store. Just click on the cash register next to the game board, or use the Store button on the Main Menu.

Second, some tools are only useful on some puzzles. If the tool isn’t useful for a particular puzzle, it will be disabled, and the tool quantity will be shown in gray. For example, if the puzzle doesn’t have smoke blowing around, the fan tool will be disabled.

And finally, if a given tool is currently in use, you must wait for it to finish before you can use it again. For example, if you have the fan going to blow the smoke, pressing the fan again won’t do anything. Once the fan finishes, you can start a new fan.

I completed a portrait in the hallway (in Explore mode), how do I play those puzzles or see the picture again?

Good job completing a whole room! Puzzles are randomly generated when you play, so you can’t play the *exact* puzzles again, but you *can* play puzzles that have the same challenges. The settings for the Explore mode puzzles are pulled from the Easy, Medium, Hard and Diabolical settings used in Quick Play, so you can just pick the level of difficulty you want and Quick Play away.
